Power Adhesives Tecbond 440 Sprayable Glue Slugs
Tecbond 440 Sprayable Packaging & Product Assembly Hot Melt Glue Slugs
Power Adhesives Tecbond 440 is a polyolefin-based adhesive engineered primarily for spray application, with the flexibility to be extruded as a bead or dot for targeted placement. Supplied in 1 3/4" (43mm) glue slugs, this formulation delivers high-performance bonding in demanding packaging and product assembly tasks and performs reliably on cardboard, wood, foam, and many plastics, including surfaces that are typically difficult to bond.
When spray applied, the adhesive provides a very long open time of approximately six minutes, supporting accurate placement and adjustment during assembly. After application, it forms an aggressive coating that sets into a tough, resilient bond with high initial tack to help restrict creeping in compressed joints. Tecbond 440 is suitable for hazard level 2 applications related to fire, smoke, and toxicity standards.
Features of Tecbond 440 Hot Melt Glue Slugs
- Spray or Bead Application: Designed for spray application with the ability to be applied as a bead or dot for precise placement.
- Extended Open Time: Delivers an aggressive adhesive coating with an open time of up to six minutes when spray applied.
- Versatile Adhesion: Bonds effectively to cardboard, wood, foam, and a range of difficult-to-bond plastics.
- High Initial Tack: Provides near-instant hold while helping to restrict creeping in compressed bonds.
